Works on well casings with inner diameter larger than 4.6" and casing thickness less than 1.62"
- NOTE: This tool can be modified to work on 4" inner diameter casings, but no smaller.
- Suitable for installs on wells as deep as 400'.
- While you may be able to use this tool for deeper installs, weight is often too cumbersome to install solo or with a two-person crew.
- To install Drop-Assist to well casing:
-
- Insert flanges on bottom of Drop-Assist tool into the well casing.
- Tighten down butterfly locking screw on Drop-Assist tool until the screw end makes secure contact with casing. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN SCREW, OVER-TIGHTENING LOCKING SCREW CAN DAMAGE PVC CASINGS.
- Check for side-to-side and front-to-back play to make sure Drop-Assist tool is secured to well casing.
- Now you're ready to install your pump!
- If pump diameter is too large to insert into well casing while the Drop-Assist is attached:

- Carefully hold the pump and place the section of drop pipe that is directly above the pump over the rollers. While holding drop pipe and Drop-Assist tool, insert pump into well casing and attach Drop-Assist tool to casing once you have enough clearance to insert lower metal flanges. Continue to hold pump suspended below lip of well casing until Drop-Assist is secure.
- Tighten down butterfly locking screw on Drop-Assist tool until the screw end makes secure contact with casing. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN SCREW, OVER-TIGHTENING LOCKING SCREW CAN DAMAGE PVC CASINGS.
- Check for side-to-side and front-to-back play to make sure Drop-Assist tool is secured to well casing.
- Now you're ready to install your pump!
