RPS 5HP 55RPS50, 55GPM Submersible Pump End + 5HP 220V Motor + Starter Box
55RPS series pumps are designed for low flow applications of 79 GPM or under. They can be self-installed or placed using a local installer. At 375 feet of head the 55RPS50 will pump 19 GPM!
This RPS pump uses a hearty 3 Wire Single Phase 5HP Motor and 3.85″ diameter pump end. The Outlet includes a built in check valve, most people add on an additional external check valve as well. The most efficient brushless motors mean no replacement of carbon brushes and years of smooth, reliable performance. Impellers are made of a composite material resistant to abrasion and chemical damage. Encapsulated winding for superior short protection. The entire body is made of corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel, and compliant to all drinking water standards. Includes a starter box matched to the pump HP with starting capacitor.
RPS engineers recommend 5HP pumps use at least 10 gauge wire up for wire lengths up to 200 feet, 8 gauge up to 320 feet, 6 gauge up to 500 feet, 4 gauge up to 800 feet.

Using a pressure tank or pressure system? You'll need to add the depth of your well with the PSI in feet of head to get your "Total Head" number for sizing.
10 PSI = 23 feet of head
20 PSI = 46 feet of head
30 PSI = 70 feet of head
40 PSI = 90 feet of head
50 PSI = 115 feet of head
60 PSI = 140 feet of head
Example: 50 foot (well depth) + 90 feet of head (from a 40 PSI pressure tank) = 140 feet of total head. If your total head number exceeds this pumps ability range, size up to get a similar flow with higher head ability!
